The food is very good. Price performance is great! Now at Corona times, all hygiene measures are being followed, I think that's great. Unfortunately I have seen a lot of the opposite lately.

Corona? Never heard! The small dining room is full to the last seat. No table is locked. Keeping minimum distances is impossible. Registration of guests is not important. After paying, we received an empty writing pad at our own request on which we could write our data. Probably the only guests that evening ... absolutely not recommended, especially for members of a risk group

I've been going to this place for a long time. The goose meal in winter is still of high quality and a highlight, otherwise the quality of the whole thing takes place in the midfield and is then reasonably priced! Absolutely rude, if not to say outrageous, service. After an hour and a half, all of the service staff is unable to bring a second drink to the table. Despite sufficient staff totally overwhelmed and uncoordinated. As a host, unfortunately, absolutely incompetent. What a shame ...

Service from "everyone" was by far the last! Food (starters) was delicious after a very long wait, but then canceled and paid! This would not have existed before. What a shame to ruin an institution like that.

If possible, you should eat outside in the castle park when the weather is good. When we came, despite our reservation, all tables there were occupied. Without further ado, another was carried across the street and set up in the park. Thanks a lot for this!

Still cozy atmosphere, but the price / performance ratio is no longer correct! Long wait and then a good 19 euros for the portion of tartare or 7.90 euros for a medlar. . Then everything has to be right! The gastronomy is currently having a hard time, but you can have a smile for the paying guests!

Food is ok, but not good enough for the very impressive price. In addition, the waiting times are very long, so that the overall claim and reality do not go together. There are better addresses for this price!

Very nice place, excellent food and staff

The location and ambience are nice, but that's about it. After waiting over 1.5 (!) Hours for our food, we got dry schnitzel that was fried too long and greasy, unseasoned fried potatoes. And this at a price of 30 euros for a Wiener Schnitzel. Only the salad was good. The waitress was slow and didn't seem to be interested in taking additional orders or requests.

Friendly service, good breakfast, delicious coffee, enough choice, absolutely quiet location, on the edge of the forest, very quiet residential area, and yet you are in 10 minutes in the city. A little older, but we're not getting any younger either. If you are looking for a good bed and breakfast at a very good price, this is the place for you.

Cozy is different, rather quaint. Food is very good, the cook knows his craft. Very interesting dishes. Not cheap. Long waiting times between ordering and delivery of the food. Drinks come quickly.

Very good traditional German cuisine

Been here with my family for the Christmas dinner! Had the goose which was awesome! Love every single bit. The space is a little tight though, we moved to 2nd floor where there is bigger table but be aware that it could be quite noisy when there are other people sitting around you.

Food a dream, great atmosphere you just feel good, prices at the upper limit. Service friendly, quick and courteous. In summer you can sit outdoors. Man or woman should book in any case otherwise food can be difficult even for two or three. 😎

Service is incredibly rude and unfriendly. The menu is a mess, difficult to read and the selection is way too big. We, like all the other tables, waited more than two hours to be served. Also the average quality doesn't justify the above average prices. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.

We sat here very comfortably outside in the castle park. That's just wonderful to sit in the fresh air, in the background the castle park. For dinner there was the Frankfurt cloak. Veal with green sauce served with a salad and fried potatoes. Our friends had ordered the Saumagen with sauerkraut. Delicious. For dessert, we shared the Kaiserschmarrn with vanilla ice cream and strawberries. A poem. Prices are upscale and reasonable in view of the quality and nice service.

Veal steak with mushroom cream tastes good. Cream of avocado a bit salty.

No bargain, but very cozy and delicious. Service friendly and fast. Audience mixed until slightly raised. Without reservation, even for 2 people rather difficult. - If you want to visit Hessian Gemütkichkeit visit is right here. - In nice weather, some outdoor seating.

Whery nice place . Good food . How ever the service is not good . We booked a tabel . When we got there we had to look for the tabel ourself . No greeting . We then asked to pay separate . Had to work it out our self . Then up on asking to pay with card , the answer was we only take credit card, the person then just turned around and walked away , not waiting . Like sayed great place , nice food . But the service .....

I asked a local for a good German restaurant, they pointed me here. Food was fantastic and the atmosphere definitely olde world. Eating dinner and hearing the church bells chime at the top of the hour really made me forget it is 2018. Off the main path and worth it.

Excellent cuisine next to a nice quiet park. Leaves you wanting for more.

A very nice and cozy atmosphere right beside the burg in the old part of town. Good German slow food prepared here. A little more expensive due to its location, food quality and ambiance.

Best. Hands down the best German restaurant I have ever been to. The Kaiserschmarren is unbelievably good!
